65m Single season Private Motor yacht are seeking a 2nd officer to join them within the next 2-3 weeks. Flexibility on start date for the right candidate

This is a rare opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience as an officer before holding their OOW as the yacht is ideally looking for someone who is working through their modules or close to completion of their modules that wants to gain experience as an officer

The role will involve both deck and bridge operations and you will be given your own watches, exposure to passage planning and chart corrections as well as overseeing the Bosun and deck team running the deck operations. It’s important you are keen to get stuck in on deck!

The boat winters in the Med and will be completing a short yard period for around 1.5 months starting in the next few weeks. Summer is spent cruising the Med with the owner. They run a relaxed but professional yacht with a great team and superb Captains who like to pass on knowledge, give extra responsibility and run a good training environment

This could be a good opportunity for someone with a Bosun background who is keen to step up whilst continuing to work through their OOW studies and gain additional bridge and navigational experience
