We are ideally seeking a Chef & Engineer Deck couple for this position
CHEF REQUIREMENTS:
The chef should be a culinary trained professional to gourmet standard. Responsible for the overall management and day to day running of the galley and immediate crew mess area. This would include guest and crew meals, provisioning, food safety, maintaining strict hygiene standards. The successful candidate for this position will have excellent references, experience provisioning in various regions of the world.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Gourmet Chef.
Extensive knowledge of produces and ability to provision in obscure parts of the world.
Knowledge of nutrition, diets and allergies, food safety and storage.
Menu planning, varied repertoire and wine knowledge.
Excellent creativity and presentation skills.
Organised, time management awareness.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years experience.
Ship’s Cook Certificate (SCC) - not obligatory but would be beneficial.
Basic STCW95 Maritime certificate.
Food Hygiene certification - (level 3).
ENG 1 Medical
THE PACKAGE:
Starting early March and joining the yacht in Valencia, Spain
8 weeks holiday per year
Annual contract
Salary in the region of €5,000 DOE
This is a full time position but will become rotational
