Scenic Luxury Cruises are searching for an Expedition Operations Manager to join their team.
The Expedition Manager is ultimately responsible for the Discovery staffing, ensuring the hiring of staffing to fill the specific rolls of the Discovery team for “Hybrid” and “Discovery” mode, oversee the training and onboarding process pre-embarkation and during their contract period, manage any staffing issues and creating the right team for the operational regions the Scenic ships sail in.
Responsilbilites:
• Assist the Expedition Director with the development of Discovery Day locations along voyage itineraries.
• Oversee the Discovery team and equipment transition into Hybrid mode operations.
Strong Guest Service & Hospitality background
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in outdoor programming and management.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Expedition Cruising in both polar and warm water environment.
• Maintains a positive and approachable personality, providing a two-way line of communication with guest and crew.
• Fluent in English and good verbal and written communication skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Creative thinker and proactive approach to problem solving.
• Developed organization and planning skills.
• Respects the privacy of guests and colleagues.
• Well-groomed and neat appearance.
• Ability to deliver a high standard of performance.
• MLC and SOLAS knowledge.
