Our client is looking for an experienced Head Chef for this new build, 120m, world cruising private motor yacht.
The ideal candidate will have large yacht experience as Head Chef, excellent leadership skills, a wide knowledge of global cuisine and be able to hit the ground running in this well-established team.
The galley team is 6 in total with 3 onboard at any one time, all on rotation. The current head chef strives to create a ‘happy and harmonious galley’. They are a multicultural team which works extremely well for the team dynamics and being able to have varied culinary input. Someone who understands this dynamic and is excited by working with skilled chefs from around the globe.
The owners of the vessel are from the US and are self-proclaimed ‘foodies’ with little dietary requirements. This gives the chefs a blank canvas when it comes to menus, candidates must be creative and inventive.
Strong, firm but fair leadership skills are required.
Must have excellent organisational skills as the vessel will be cruising worldwide, visiting off-the-beaten-track locations where provisioning will be more challenging. They have to be forward-thinking. And organisational minded.
Candidates must also be well versed in food safety & hygiene, MSDS processes and creating cleaning and maintenance schedules for both the galley and stores.
There is a crew of 34 onboard, they are fun-loving, social and fitness-orientated. Everyone is happy and motivated to be on board which makes a crew culture!

Time for time rotation, probably to be 10:10
Non-negotiable salary of 9100 EURO
