Sole Engineer - Private 40m New Build M/Y

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Sole Engineer to join a 40m New Build Private M/Y.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professionally run program with a great owner, offering longevity and responsibility from the ground up
The vessel is due to be launched at the end of September
The program will run as a single Med season
overseeing all engineering systems onboard (MTU engines, generators, AV/IT, HVAC, etc.)
Managing planned maintenance schedules using PMS software
Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving across all technical areas
Coordinating warranty claims and liaising with the shipyard and subcontractors
Assisting during yard periods and technical inspections
Previous experience as Sole Engineer on similar-sized yachts or strong 2nd Engineer stepping up
Knowledge of modern yacht systems and high attention to detail
Proactive, organised, and able to work independently
Y3 minimum (or equivalent commercial ticket)
Good communication and reporting skills
Experience with new builds and commissioning is a plus
A generous package of €7,500 - €8,500 DOE is on offer with time for time rotation
This position will start at the beginning of September
