Job description
55m motor yacht is seeking a Sous Chef to join their team on a private/charter dual season program cruising the South Pacific and Caribbean.
The vessel operates a mix of private owner use and charter, so the galley runs to a high standard while maintaining the flexibility required during busy charter periods.
The Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in all aspects of galley operations, helping to deliver high quality guest dining as well as daily crew meals.
This is a great opportunity for a motivated chef looking to grow within a professional yacht galley while gaining valuable charter experience.
The role requires someone organised, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
Assist the Head Chef with guest meal preparation and service
Prepare crew meals to a good standard
Support provisioning and stock control
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the galley
Assist with menu preparation and organisation during charters
Food Safety and Hygiene certificates are required
B1/B2 is essential
Previous experience as a Sous Chef on a yacht or strong restaurant background
Positive attitude and strong team player
A package of €5,000 with 42 days leave is on offer
