Temp 2nd Engineer - 55m M/Y - Shipyard Period

Job description

We are seeking a Temporary Second Engineer (Y3/Y4) to join a 55m M/Y for a 3-month shipyard period.

The vessel is currently on the way to the yard, and we require a qualified engineer with strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience to assist the Chief Engineer in overseeing and executing maintenance and refit projects.
Support the Chief Engineer with all shipyard works, including maintenance, refits, and system overhauls
Maintain accurate records and assist with planned maintenance systems
Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with contractors as needed
Ensure engine room safety and operational standards are upheld
Minimum Y4 ticket (Y3 preferred)
Proven shipyard/refit experience on similar-sized vessels
Confident with planned maintenance systems and technical reporting
Strong practical skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team
Day rate of €220 - €280 DOE
Start date: 15th September
