With 16 years of experience in the yachting industry, I am currently seeking a Captain’s position on a private and/or charter motor yacht. My professional background is diverse, with solid experience on commercial vessels, commercial mega yachts, and cruise ships. I hold a Master Unlimited Certificate of Competency and an MCA Certificate of Equivalent Competency, along with all relevant and valid certifications. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to cruise extensively in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Persian Gulf, Red Sea, Far East, Africa, North Sea, Iceland, Norway, and Greenland. I have extensive experience in ice navigation, large refit projects, and dry dock periods on yachts (two refits and two dry docks) as well as on cruise ships (one refit and two dry docks). My experience also includes helicopter operations, ISM/MLC/Flag/PSC/Class inspections, safety training, and planned maintenance systems. I am looking to commit long-term to a program where I can build a strong relationship with the Owner and contribute to the overall success of the project. I consistently strive to meet and exceed—whenever possible—the expectations of both Owners and Charterers. When limitations arise due to safety or commercial reasons, I ensure that all conditions are clearly explained and that suitable alternative solutions are proposed, with their benefits thoroughly outlined.
