About me
Currently finishing Atlantic Crossing on a 56m private/charter sail yacht. Home is Palma de Mallorca, Spanish resident and EU, Swedish, passport. I have a vast experience since the start in yachting as sole stew & deck/stew and I would love to enjoy and contribute to your team as stew/deck. I have the qualifications needed for the role. I started my career in yachting in July 2023 as sole stew/deckhand on a 22m private MY based in Palma de Mallorca on a seasonal contract after graduating in economics from Colegio Sueco. SInce then I have gained experience as a sole stew & deck/stew on various yachts, mainly during the past months at sail yachts. I am used to take my responsibility for the complete guest experience and interior; planning and completing day trips as well as weekly/charter trips around Mallorca and the Balearic Islands as well as Antigua (Grenadines). I am also available to assist the crew on deck with preparations and helping clients with mooring, departures and arrivals as well as water toys. I also have a service background 1 year + from high end property management company as well as cafes. This included as well exceeding guest experience with services i.e. concierge services, housekeeping, detailing, laundry for live in guests as well as owner. My goal is to find my next work opportunity in yachting to gain more experience on yachts, to finally join a team on permanent contract on a sailing yacht, in the meanwhile I continue to gain experience on temporary & seasonal contracts and I look forward to proceeding my development. I have had fantastic experience of working in the industry so far and I am comfortable in the role of deck/stew since my previous roles as sole stewardess/deck/stew and as a team member, always prioritizing the guests and supporting my colleagues. I am familiar with the extent of work and planning there is to excel the guest experience from preparing mise en place to serve breakfast, lunches, and dinners to prepare after downers and turn downs as well as laundry and housekeeping duties always with attention to detail as well as helping on deck with wash downs polishing as well as mooring. As a professional in yachting, I find that my equestrian background serves me well; I am structured, highly motivated, used to work efficiently with attention to detail and hands on, always with a smile. I am flexible, used to working with responsibilities and timelines, I am a real team player, and foremost a quick and eager learner. Hobbies & Interests
An equestrian girl with a passion for people and service. I have owned a horse for the past 8 years, who I train as well as compete. I enjoy outdoor life and water sports, and I found pilates & yoga as a nice training when working. Yacht life gives me the opportunity to travel and meet friends.
