Hi there, My name is Benjamin, I have recently, ended my second summer at Camp Pinnacle. Originally from Tauranga, New Zealand, I have found my time at Camp Pinnacle to be enriching. This experience has equipped me with valuable skills in working with children and navigating the diverse social dynamics across various age groups. During my first season at camp, I served as a Cabin/Activity Counsellor. In this role, I lived with and mentored 9-12 campers, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being while fostering a supportive and engaging environment. I facilitated kayak lessons and coordinated various activities daily, which required adaptability and strong interpersonal skills. In my second year, I transitioned to the role of Trip Leader. This position entrusted me with organizing and leading excursions into the backcountry, such as mountain biking, white water rafting, and backpacking trips lasting up to three days. I helped coordinate off camp logistics and managed groups of 12 to 24 participants aged 6 to 16, emphasizing safety, teamwork, and memorable experiences. Beyond my camp experiences, I gained valuable customer service skills during the 23/24 winter season at Panorama Ski Resort. Engaging daily with guests, I provided assistance, resolved ticketing issues, and ensured a positive experience for all visitors. While my background primarily lies in the construction industry since leaving school, having completed a little over two years on the tool, I am eager to transition into a new field. I am excited about the opportunity to enter the yachting industry, further developing my customer service skills and contributing to an exceptional customer experience.
