I am a driven and highly capable deck professional, positioning myself as the ideal candidate for the Lead Deckhand role. Holding my IYT Master of Yachts 200GT Limited, along with AEC 1 & 2 engineering certifications, I bring a strong balance of deck expertise and technical understanding. I have extensive experience in large tender operations, including high-performance chase boats with triple outboard configurations, and I am a confident and competent scuba diver. I fully understand the demands of both private and charter programs, consistently maintaining a vessel that is guest-ready to the highest standards. I take pride in being responsible, accountable, and reliable in all situations, whether during busy charter periods or routine maintenance. I remain calm under pressure, organised in my approach, and proactive in problem-solving, ensuring safe, efficient, and professional deck operations at all times while supporting the wider crew dynamic.
Work experience
Deckhand (Temporary) at 10m Sailing Boat
November 2020 - February 2023 (2 years 3 mons 11 days)
2+years of monthly races onboard S/Y Sheshisa (36ft). Have been in every control position when sailing. During that time I have learn to sial, motor, dock and anchor. Also I learned which sail to use.
Bosun/Deckhand (Full time) at 30m Motor Yacht
June 2023 - October 2023 (4 mons 8 days)
My position consisted of being an effective worker as the Bosun on board. Normal deckhand duties were done with extra education on cleaning and maintenance products of teak. Line care and handling.
Bosun/Chaseboat Captain (Full time) at 43m Motor Yacht
November 2024 - July 2025 (7 mons 26 days)
Leading deck team of 3, having regular maintenance on certain surfaces and being in charge of the chase boat schedules, work and setup lists for when the owners would like to use the chase boat
Deckhand (Temporary) at 32m Motor Yacht
May 2024 - November 2024 (6 mons 8 days)
We had an intense shipyard period of 2 months. Strong maintenance tasks were completed prior to the charter season. Excellent guest relations were made with the guests onboard.
