About me
2 years working in the yachting industry as both exterior and interior, I have refined my skills with deck operation and guest interactions. Gaining experience on both private and charter yachts, I am now looking to secure my next deckhand position to show case my hard work ethic, keen eye for details and progress my career whilst working towards future qualifications. An athletic individual with a love for sports and physical activities. Since the age of 10, I have played rugby, and like any South African, would never miss a Springbok match (unless the yacht needs a scrub). Competing in kickboxing competitions for 5 years and weight training since the age of 15 which has been continued to this day. This has installed discipline and made me understand that sacrifices today lead to future benefits. Recently, I have also taken an interest trading. A sociable person who enjoys meeting new people from all walks of life allowing me to listen, grow, and share personal experiences.

• Deck duties, such as line handling, dropping and lifting anchor, navigational watches, wash downs, teak care, inventory, owners personal preferences, gym and jet- ski set up, etc.
Deckhand (Temporary) at 50m Sailing Boat
June 2023 - November 2023 (5 mons 10 days)
Deck team of 3. Assisted with wash downs, polishing, dinghy refueling, dropping and lifting anchor, raising and trimming sails & guest transfer in a 5m dinghy.
2nd Steward (Temporary) at 50m Sailing Boat
May 2023 - June 2023 (21 days)
Started as 2nd Stew before moving to deckhand. Breakfast, lunch and dinner set- up, housekeeping, laundry, cleaning guest cabin & bathrooms, stock inventory and assisting in the galley.

Prepare the yacht for charter by de- rusting, painting, sanding, varnishing exterior parts of the yacht, cleaning bilges, de- rusting black & grey water tanks
