About me
I really enjoyed my first Mediterranean season as a sole deckhand, being lucky enough to visit many ports across Sardinia, Corsica, Italy and France. I am a no-drama person with a wealth of knowledge from yacht and land-based roles. Following some time at home and completing AEC1 and AEC2, I am looking for my next role where I can level up my skills on deck and/or in the engine room.
Work experience
Sole Deckhand (Temporary) at 29m Motor Yacht
July 2024 - September 2024 (2 mons 19 days)
As the sole deckhand, it was my responsibility to maintain the exterior of the vessel to a high standard, whilst cruising the Mediterranean with the owners onboard for a 7 week trip and another 1 week
Deckhand (Temporary) at 24m Motor Yacht
September 2024 - October 2024 (14 days)
I covered the deckhand during a boss trip and the week prior. Duties included detailing, gelcoat and stainless polishing, tender detailing, mooring, teak part 1 and 2 amongst other tasks.
Deckhand (Daywork) at 29m Motor Yacht
June 2024 - June 2024 (9 days)
I learned a lot of useful skills from the captain and deckhand whilst assisting them in preparation for their season. Tasks involved polishing gelcoat with a power buffer, detailing and basic repairs
