I am a 22-year-old with a Bachelor of Health, Sport, and Human Performance and a lifelong passion for the ocean. I grew up around the sea and am highly skilled in surfing, fishing, spearfishing, and kayaking, including competing at New Zealand national level in kayaking. I am also a certified surf lifeguard, experienced in water safety, rescue, and first aid. Professionally, I have worked as a tourism kayak guide, sports coach, sports coordinator, and teacher aide, developing strong teamwork, leadership, and communication skills. I am highly motivated, hardworking, and eager to contribute positively to crew culture and onboard operations. I am fully committed to obtaining ENG-1 and STCW 95 certifications if offered a role. I have a diverse background in both water safety and outdoor leadership. I have worked as a surf and pool lifeguard, gaining extensive experience in water safety, rescue, and first aid. I have also served as a Surf Lifesaving coach, mentoring and training youth in water skills and safety. In addition, I have experience as a teacher aide and sports coordinator, where I developed strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills. My role as a kayak tour guide in the tourism industry further strengthened my ability to lead groups safely, manage challenging conditions, and provide an enjoyable experience for guests. These experiences have equipped me with a combination of practical maritime skills, leadership, and adaptability that I am eager to bring to a professional crew environment.
