About me
Hi, my name is Dan Lanit. I'm a 34-year-old marine professional from the Philippines, holding an OIC-EW (3rd Engineer) license, with over 13 years of hands-on experience in the maritime industry. I began my career as a Cadet, progressed to Oiler, and later became a Motorman, gaining solid technical and operational experience—particularly aboard cruise ships. I’m known for being dependable, detail-oriented, and adaptable—whether working independently or as part of a team. My strong communication skills and deep knowledge of engine room operations allow me to support safe, efficient, and smooth vessel performance. I take instructions from senior officers with respect and readiness, always thinking ahead and preparing thoroughly. I take pride in my problem-solving abilities, whether it involves tools or just a practical mindset. On a personal note, I’m a quiet, grounded individual with a passion for capturing moments through photography and video—especially during my travels. Recently, I became a proud father to a beautiful daughter. She is now my greatest motivation. I’m committed to giving my best—not only for my family—but also to the team, the company, and the guests I serve. Contributing meaningfully and upholding professionalism at all times is my top priority.
