I am a uniquely experienced mechanical engineer with a passion for the ocean and a drive to transfer from shipbuilding to yachting. My experience ranges from construction of shaftlines in foreign countries, to remote fault finding and repairs, writing maintenance procedures, and auditing naval assets. I have an aptitude for hands-on skills and practical duties gained from my own personal mechanical and construction projects. As a warranty engineer in the sustainment side of the industry I formed great working relationships with chief engineers and masters alike, and was exposed to the daily operations of vessels up to 270ft. With my coastal upbringing and familiarity with the sea, I wish to start a new career in operations and build a skill-set that one day will be used to design yachts with the highest operability, maintainability and durability.
