Hi there, I am a young, enthusiastic, and hard-working South African actively seeking a permanent onboard deckhand position (with junior engineering capabilities as a plus) in the yachting industry. I am passionate about yachting and maritime culture, have also acquired electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge, and love watersport activities. I am a team player, and while being very respectful of others, I am comfortable adapting to dynamic situations in order to achieve optimum results under pressure and to ensure the delivery of the highest standards of safety, luxury, and guest satisfaction. I am also quite competent in general DIY and other maintenance and handyman-type work, which has broadened my understanding and knowledge of how things work and how to fix them. I know that I would make myself a valuable asset to any crew's seafaring vessel. I have had thorough experience and training working on yachts and other smaller sailing vessels in Cape Town, South Africa, and would love the opportunity to work on this vessel with a competent crew to learn more along the way.
