About me
As a Senior member of the Interior Department, I ensured the highest standards of cleanliness and service quality in owner and guest cabins during our seasonal operations. We strive to deliver exceptional service quality. My responsibilities included maintaining impeccable cleanliness and organization in owner/guest cabins and public areas, assisting with laundry duties, and utilizing cleaning products and chemicals safely and effectively. This experience broadened my skills and expertise. During our downtime, we perform maintenance tasks, including dusting and vacuuming and wiping down the entire interior. We also run taps, bidets, and showers; flush toilets; clean carpets and wooden floors; descale and detailing sanitizing taps, showers, aerators ; and conduct deep cleaning/ detailing in all the areas. Additionally, we update inventory and maintain cleanliness in crew areas. We schedule our daily tasks, focusing on specific areas such as cleaning walls, vents, and ceilings; cleaning floor flaps and non-skid stairs; and wall skirtings. We also report any maintenance issues, including electrical, engineering, carpentry, and AVIT problems. Our morning duties include attending a meeting, followed by watchkeeping on a scheduled basis. We handle provisions for guests, owners, and crew, including food, drinks, stationery, toiletries, and chemicals. I was in charge of managing the chemical store, Hoover maintenance and detailing, stationery, linen return, floristry, and crew mess and completed rotations in all the delegation of responsibilities. These responsibilities rotated among the team. I was in charge of handling shopping for interior needs, including laundry supplies, stationery, chemicals, and toiletries for crew. I conducted weekly cabin inspections. During our refit/dry dock. I oversee contractor watch such as wood touch-ups, marble, and metal defect repairs. I stepped in as a temp 2nd house since nobody was available to relieve our 2nd while she was on holiday. I covered her responsibilities and managed the girls on the floor, ensuring everything ran smoothly. It’s also my responsibility to conduct training for new crew members in the interior, including our procedures and standards. This includes making the beds for the owner/guest/crew, doing morning duties, bridge duties, and delegated responsibilities such as chemical store, linen return, stationery, hoover maintenance/detailing, and crew mess. I ensured all the interior team members were familiar with safety protocols and emergency procedures as the Safety Representatives in our team. I was selected as Employee of the Month of April 2025 and recently selected as Employee of the Year December 2025.
