I am a driven and ambitious individual with both the academic knowledge and practical experience to thrive onboard with your deck team. I have a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Navigation and Maritime Science from the University of Plymouth, which gave me knowledge and experience in vessel handling, route planning, celestial and electronic navigation, and maritime law, all of the skills necessary to operate and maintain high level vessels safely. I have done extensive deckhand training, gaining my RYA VHF SRC, PBL2, PWC, Tender Operator, PDSD, Mental Health Awareness and STCW. I also have a good health ENG1 medical. I bring hands-on experience in tender driving, navigation, personal watercraft operations, route planning, deck maintenance, vessel care, repairs, lines and fenders, mooring operations, ECDIS and bridge simulators as well as a strong background in hospitality. From growing up working in my family run restaurants, I have a genuine care for guest experience and a very strong work ethic. My Spanish language ability allows me to communicate effectively and connect with crew members and guests. As I am from Northern Ireland, I have dual British and Irish citizenship, allowing me in the Schengen area all year round. I am proficient in tender driving and personal watercraft operations through certification and many years of experience within my family. I bring hands-on experience in deck maintenance, vessel care and repairs, mooring lines, ECDIS, bridge simulators, and a very strong background in hospitality. Managing my family-run restaurants gave me a very strong work ethic and genuine care for customer experience. I know what it is like to truly want your customers to have the best experience.
