About me
I have a professional approach to the yachting industry, with exacting standards and a strong emphasis on safety, while never losing sight of the fact that the enjoyment and relaxation of the Owner and Guests is paramount. A cool head and a "can-do" attitude in difficult situations have consistently proven to be the recipe for success. After 30 years in professional yachting, I have accumulated extensive knowledge of numerous cruising destinations worldwide across both private and charter yachts. In areas previously unfamiliar to me, thorough research has consistently resulted in safe and rewarding experiences for Owners and Guests. As a result of my mechanical engineering background, combined with the hands-on experience gained throughout my career, I have developed an in-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of superyacht operations. This has proved to be a valuable asset during refit and new-build projects. Possessing knowledge and skills across all yacht departments, I am able to understand, support and assist with the duties and responsibilities of the crew. With a hands-on approach and by leading through example, I motivate my crew to consistently exceed the expectations of the most discerning Owners and Guests. As a proficient water sports enthusiast, I am also able to instruct, supervise and encourage guests who wish to enjoy all that the sea has to offer, always with safety as the highest priority.

Captain (Full time) at 55m Motor Yacht
March 2023 - August 2023 (5 mons)
Returned to oversee winter works, Class and Flag surveys, support the yacht's successful sale and complete the charter season before handover to the "Below Deck" crew.
Captain (Full time) at 42m Motor Yacht
March 2024 - September 2024 (6 mons)
Completion of shipyard period in Ft Lauderdale. Extensive chartering in central Mediterranean as one of the most successful Burges charter yachts of this size for the summer.
Chief Officer/Relief Captain (Temporary) at 79m Motor Yacht
October 2025 - May 2026 (7 mons)
Shipyard period in La Ciotat completing 30year survey. Acted as relief Captain on numerous occasions during his absence.
Relief Captain (Temporary) at 55m Motor Yacht
October 2022 - December 2022 (2 mons)
Consolidate and train new crew, and rectify ISM and ISPS deficiencies in preparation for a Port Sate Control. Setup of upcoming winter refit program. Delivery of the yacht from Genoa to Croatia.

August 2021 - July 2022 (11 mons)
Initially employed as relief Captain to complete the summer cruising, this defaulted into full time position for the Winter. Winter works program in Vilanova. Hands on rebuild of entire Bridge.
