About me
Hi, I’m Josh! I’m a 20-year-old with a passion for engineering and a drive to grow in the maritime industry. After transitioning from a commercial background in November with an EOOW Unlimited, I spent seven months at a shipyard working on a 78-meter Lürssen yacht. During that time, I gained hands-on experience with overhauls, maintenance, electrical work, and assisting shipyard professionals. Currently, I’m completing an HND in Marine Engineering, which I’ve self-funded and will finish just before Christmas 2024. This qualification not only deepens my technical knowledge but also provides the exemptions I need to pursue my Second Engineer and Chief Engineer Unlimited licenses. Every step I take brings me closer to achieving my career goals.

During my 8-month trip as a member of the engineering team on board, I actively contributed to the vessel's operation and maintenance. Initially, I closely observed and assisted experienced engineers.
