.My name is Kenneth Andal and I’ve been working as an Seaman since 2019, primarily with Magsaysay on board passenger vessels. Over the past several years, I’ve gained extensive experience in Watch Keeping shipboard operations including mooring, anchoring, lifeboat, rescue boat, Tender boat launching , and maintenance of deck equipment, as well as safety and emergency procedures specific to passenger ships. Working in the passenger sector has taught me the importance of discipline, clear communication, and a strong focus on safety not just for the crew, but also for the hundreds of passengers we carry. I’m confident in my watch keeping duties as both a lookout and helmsman, and I have experience assisting on the bridge during arrivals, departures, and port operations. My STCW and other mandatory certifications are all up to date, and I’m well-trained in crowd and crisis management, survival craft handling, and fire prevention — essential skills on a passenger ship and carpenter skills. I take pride in my work, maintain a professional attitude, and always aim to contribute to a safe, clean, and efficient operation on board. I'm now looking for new challenges where I can continue applying my skills and growing professionally, possibly taking steps toward Bosun or eventually moving toward officer-level responsibilities in the future.
