About me
I’m Keane, a 23-year-old dual South African/British national and deckhand with more than two months of daywork experience on vessels up to 67 meters, including both exterior and engine room duties. I also bring 9 years of professional beach lifeguarding experience and a lifelong background in water-based sports. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce in Strategic Management, along with STCW, PB2, PWC, VHF Radio, and a valid SAMSA medical certificate (ENG1 equivalent). I’m physically fit, safety-focused, and thrive in fast-paced, team environments. My approach is hands-on and proactive. I take direction well and am always keen to learn. I’m looking to join a hardworking, dynamic crew where I can continue building my deck skills and grow into a lead deckhand or bosun role in the future. I’m available immediately and ready to contribute a strong work ethic, water confidence, and a positive attitude.
