My name is Luca Baptist and I am a Green Junior Deckhand from the UK. I was introduced to sailing at a young age, as my father is a keen sailor, and we enjoyed a few family sailing holidays while I was growing up. I have gained practical skills from my school’s design and technology courses, where I learnt essential tasks such as sanding, varnishing, and basic carpentry. My commitment and enjoyment of fitness, training at the gym five days a week, has helped me build the physical stamina needed for the demands of a deckhand role. I am eager to apply my skills, learn more about the industry, and work within a team of professionals who are willing to share their knowledge as I embark into the superyacht industry
