About me
I am looking for a Junior Deckhand position onboard a superyacht. I am highly motivated and eager to further my understanding of the yachting world. I am a competent tender driver with experience driving twin engine and jet tenders as a result of spending holidays on the water with family and friends. I am a logical thinker who has an active, hands-on approach to my work with an out-of-the-box approach to solving problems and the ability to work long hours with a smile on my face. I’m a strong team player who maintains a professional, enthusiastic and lighthearted relationship with both staff and guests alike, but I’m also a hard worker when it comes to my job. From my experience in high end hospitality, I offer additional skills in the interior with strong communication skills and leadership experience, and I am proficient in making customers and guests feel welcome and valued.

Hobbies & Interests
Growing up, I’ve always had a love for the water. From renting speedboats on holiday in the Mediterranean, to surfing in Cornwall and competing in swimming championships as a child – I’ve always found a reason to be in the water surrounded by friends and family!
I have jumped at every opportunity to be active; rugby, athletics, gymnastics and CrossFit have all become integral to my life. As a Rugby vice-captain, leadership and team working skills have been developed during my time on the pitch, translating into adaptability in the workplace. Competing in rugby tournaments with my team has bolstered my drive for success and sportsmanship.
I also enjoy giving back to the community in my free time through rugby coaching with younger children aged between 7-12.
When alone, I relish the opportunity to brush up on my Xbox or read a gripping political thriller – perhaps even an insightful book about psychology or anthropology. I’m a rock drummer in a band with my friends, covering songs from Queens of the Stone Age to Prince.
I also enjoy being in nature, traversing hiking trails in the South Downs of Surrey and long walks through Richmond and Hyde Parks – with the biting winter walks being my favourite time of the year.
I have immersed myself in a wealth of extracurricular activities throughout my life, with my philosophy in life being to always try something at least twice, allowing for a wide range of experiences in a short time period.
