As a highly driven individual, I have recently decided to extend my horizons and make use of the experience I have gained in the past 17 years to the next level by taking on a challenging but exhilarating experience to join the Yachting and Maritime Industry internationally. I started my career by working my way up from an administrative position to Office Manager within the first year of my employment at CJ Herbst Sheet metal and Engineering / Airwaves Airconditioners. I found it intuitive to get skilled in the Finance and Insurance industry to add to my professional skills. As I started working at the age of 15 as a part time promoter in supermarkets and later selling alcohol at events and clubs, I decided while doing the above mentioned courses to start my own and very successful Events and Catering business to have an income. This launched my sales career where Dunham-Bush International approached me for a Key Account Manager position managing BUCO Hardware Group, nationally. Building relationships and working with people is one of my strongest suits and I extended my career in hardware moving on to Premier Rainwater Goods, where my client base grew immensely - teaching me to deal with different people and cultures across South Africa. I am a hardworking and goal driven mother, a trait I’d like to extend to my 15-year-old son, currently in boarding school living with his father in South Africa. For this reason, my son being at an age where he is independent enough for me to be able to work abroad, I have decided to approach an industry that I have been wanting to do since a young age but which I could not have done before, because of my responsibilities. I am also a friendly and positive person with a happy and vibrant vibe which tends to rub off on people around me. My personality traits have given me the pleasure in life to meet and befriend a wide variety of different people and for that, I am also humble and grateful in nature. I love to include everyone making them feel part of the team. To me this brings out the best in people which makes them better team players. I have strong leadership qualities and tend to be objective and cultured in decision making. I am easily trusted as I am a straightforward and honest person but have learned with age how to be honest in a diplomatic way to avoid conflict. I will always aim for the highest quality standard of service and client satisfaction. The best leaders are the best followers, which means starting in a new industry from the bottom and working my up again is not a problem but rather an exciting new adventure to which I am positively looking forward to.
