As a 52-year-young woman standing at a pivotal crossroads in my life and career, I find myself embracing a new chapter filled with possibilities. With my children now in college and independent, I am ready to pursue my lifelong passion for sailing, which began with cherished weekends spent on the water with my grandfather, a retired Navy Captain from WWII. Those early experiences instilled in me a deep appreciation for sailing that has never waned. Throughout my life, I have immersed myself in various pursuits, including excelling in lacrosse as an All-American at Randolph-Macon College, and later, contributing to my family's masonry supply business. My professional journey led me into sales and business development, where I honed my natural skills in communication and relationship-building. After relocating to Anne Arundel County in early 2023, I re-engaged with the sailing community, rediscovering the joy of crewing on a J30 and participating in all-women regattas. My experiences racing on different boats, including the challenging RP45, have reignited my desire to be on the water more permanently. Reflecting on my career aspirations, I am eager to transition into the yachting industry, working on luxury boats—be they large or small, sailboats or yachts. My background in hospitality, coupled with my extensive experience in sales and a genuine love for people, positions me uniquely for this journey. I am coachable, adaptable, and hungry to learn, with a keen desire to contribute positively to the crew and guests alike. I look forward to embracing this new adventure on the water and making meaningful connections along the way.
