Shipyard & Refit Experience • New Build Construction – Fincantieri Shipyard, Venice, Italy In collaboration with Holland America Line / Carnival Corporation Over a two-year period, I contributed operational expertise during the construction of 90,000- and 100,000-ton cruise ships. My responsibilities included liaising directly with Fincantieri shipbuilders to ensure adherence to construction standards and strategic placement of safety and lifesaving equipment, supporting the delivery of vessels to operational readiness. • Major Yacht Refits & Surveys o M/Y Vicky – Extensive structural and systems refit o M/Y Sunrise – Full refit including operational upgrades o M/Y Tranquility – Technical and compliance-focused refit o M/Y Constance – Supervised and executed 15-year Lloyd's survey and associated refit • Project Management – Refit Oversight M/Y Mosaique – Refit and systems upgrade at Rybovich Shipyard The scope of the project included the vessel’s 15-year survey, during which shafts, rudders, and propellers were removed for inspection and maintenance. The refit also involved significant steel repairs, extensive interior renovations, and a complete exterior repainting, engine room painting and tank painting o M/Y Defiant – An extensive refit, including full re- painting, replacement of teak on the swim platform, MTU engines and Kohler/John deere generators rebuild, Lloyds intermediate survey, tail shafts removed, propellers removed, Tank inspections, repair and rebuilding of sea chests sea water intakes, Metal work repairs and including replacing 14 through hull valves and bow thruster full service. Replacement of humphree trim tabs. M/Y Odyssey – painting of the underwater hull, removal of Kamewa jet drives, replacement of humphree trim tabs, Installation of a new 3 phase power converter, service of a/c chillers, service of Kohler generators, replacement of bridge equipment, replacement of overboard valves, hull repairs.
