About me

With five full seasons of experience in the mega yachting industry, starting as a deckhand and advancing to the position of 2nd Officer, and three years of dedicated study at a maritime university, I have gained a good understanding and proficiency in ship stability, bridge procedures, and maritime conventions. This includes STCW/ISM/SOLAS/COLREGS/MARPOL/LL/ISPS. Additionally, my knowledge extends to bridge watchkeeping, navigation, safety and security on ships. Based on my experience as a safety and navigation officer, I have knowledge in maintenance of LSA&FFE according to SMS and maintenance of bridge equipment, paper charts, and publication as well as passage planning. To provide you with further insight into my background and expertise, it is worth mentioning that I was immersed in a maritime environment from a young age. My father's occupation as a captain in the merchant navy fostered my connection to the sea. I started sailing at the age of 7, which developed in navigating both sailboats and motorboats up to 24m. This early experience ignited a passion for the yachting industry, which has since become my long-term career goal. Along with knowledge of deck maintenance, duties, and products, I am particularly confident in my tender driving abilities, having successfully operated twin-screw/jet/z-type/IPS/outboard propelled tenders in previous positions. My strong work principles and adaptability allow me to quickly adjust to new environments, whether it be work ethics or working alongside colleagues. Nevertheless, I am also finalising my Master's degree in Maritime Science.
