About me
More than nine years of experience as an Ordinary Seaman, Able Seaman, Helmsman, Second Officer (GT<3000), Trainee Barge Master, and OOW Unlimited on various types of vessels has given me extensive knowledge of operation and teamwork, as well as experience in managing personnel. During my three years on a 100m Dredger Vessel, I gained valuable professional experience. Although the equipment and techniques on a DP ship may differ, the organisation of the vessel and teamwork with the crew members remain consistent. I always strive to find practical and positive solutions regardless of the situation. I have extensive experience treating personnel, especially on my third (Multipurpose) and sixth (Crane barge) ships, designed to accommodate around 100 people. In these roles, I simultaneously served as a Deck Officer and Chief Steward, overseeing the project crews and guests' accommodation, provisions, and related responsibilities. I thoroughly enjoyed this new role and found it a significant experience. Regarding supporting the ship’s captain, I have navigation experience and steered vessels ranging from 50-100m as a second/chief officer. I hold all required licenses and have navigated vessels during the daytime and nighttime. I understand the importance of maintaining alertness and balancing decisions in a busy shipping line. I consider myself a reliable crewmate. I adhere to all workplace safety rules, am a hard worker, and remain determined. Another aspect of my work on board is longevity. I am passionate about my job, so I improved my knowledge and obtained the MCA CoC OOW Unlimited. I worked as a barge master on a tanker barge in Southampton waters, providing services to cruise ships. In addition, I worked as an OOW/Mate on passenger/ferry V/Ls and 2nd Officer on Suction Hopper Dredger. I consistently seek out supplementary courses to stay informed and knowledgeable. I possess strong cooking skills and can prepare a variety of traditional cuisines. I aspire to pursue a career in the yacht industry, which is my passion. I am dedicated to working hard to achieve this goal.
