About me
I’m a marine engineer with progressive experience in engine department operations, starting as an Engine Cadet on a cargo Ship and currently serving as a 2nd Engineer with Wilhelmsen Smith Bell Manning Inc. under the Fleet of Viking Ocean Cruises. Since joining the maritime industry in 2016, I’ve steadily expanded my technical skills and onboard responsibilities. In my current role, I perform maintenance on key machinery, including boilers, water-producing systems (Evaporators and Reverse Osmosis), Purifiers, Remote Valves, Compressors, and Closed-Loop Scrubber systems. Manage engine room watchkeeping duties and ensure the upkeep of systems under my responsibilities. I’m also responsible for updating maintenance records, managing spare inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures and documentation. Previously, I served as a Motorman, Wiper, and 3rd Engineer, gaining hands-on experience in mechanical repairs, equipment restoration, and day-to-day engine department maintenance. My journey began as an Engine Cadet,t where I developed a strong foundation in ship engine maintenance and troubleshooting under the supervision of senior engineers. Throughout my career, I’ve consistently demonstrated reliability, technical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and operational efficiency, always aiming to support smooth vessel operations and continual improvement.
