About me
I am an enthusiastic and hardworking individual who over the last 6 ½ years has balanced part-time working in the hospitality industry alongside GCSE’s, A-levels, and a 4-year International BSc in Geography at the University of Leeds, graduating in summer 2021 with a 2.1. I am active, outgoing, and sporty and enjoy staying fit and participating in fitness and sports including running, tennis, and sailing. I am a novice water skier and surfer and am RYA 1-4 Youth Sailing qualified. I love travel and adventure and have participated in field trips in the UK, Iceland, and Portugal, studied and been an intern in Canada, visited the USA, Mexico, Thailand, and various European countries. Demonstrating my positive adventurous outlook as part of my International BSc degree in Geography I studied abroad at Western University, London, Canada. Prior to this study abroad, I was also selected to participate in a research internship at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, where I studied greenhouse gases and carbon sequestration. During this period, I took the opportunity to travel with friends to New York, Las Vegas, Chicago, Vancouver, Toronto, and Cancun. I am outgoing and enjoy socialising. At university, I was the Event Coordinator of Leeds Geography Society which involved me organising various social events with multiple other societies and planning the annual international trip and annual ball. This combined the fun of large social events with the importance of being well organised.

Hobbies & Interests
My favourite hobby is travelling and exploring. My study of geography and my internship and year abroad in Canada allowed me to explore this to a greater potential. These experiences made me realise that working and travelling abroad was an exciting and very intriguing career choice for me.
Fitness and wellbeing are important to me, and I work on this through physical exercises such as jogging and running. Currently, I am challenging myself to reach 10k. I also attend the gym and Pilates classes to help flexibility and mindfulness.
At university, I joined the tennis society where I participated in weekly training and socials. I also play at my local club when at home. I am keen on water sports and have tried windsurfing, surfing and water skiing and have achieved my RYA 1 - 4 in sailing. As well as fitness, I like entertaining and frequently cook for my family and friends, I especially enjoy making Mexican cuisine and baking desserts. I have excellent reviews of my fish tacos and my sticky toffee date cake. I am also an enthusiastic experimenter when it comes to cocktail making, which I hope to develop whilst working on yachts.
I have also been a research intern for Leeds University Sustainability Service where I led a project on reducing single-use plastics on field trips in the geography department. Leading on from this, I have also become a member of the IEMA alliance of environment and sustainability professionals, showing my affiliation to a sustainable future.
