My passion for the sea started when I was a boy , and after my graduation at Nautical Institute I started my nautical career following the classic Italian path, achieving all STCW qualifications and Captain license for commercial ships. My career began with commercial big ships (tankers) till achieving captain license and then I initially worked on sailing boat ( my passion) and motor Superyachts. The experiences gained by sailing on different sizes yachts - some under sail and some motoryachts - gave me the possibility to achieve a 360 degree knowledge in my sector. In my career I have been fascinated by historic sailing boats such as Skagerrak a Yawl sailing boat from 1938 with which I participated at the Veteran Rolex Cup racing in 2007 , placing third place , and this represent one of the most beautiful experiences I have had. I faced building and rebuilding of various boats, working for some big shipyards as Azimut-Benetti for short periods. Regarding crew, I think professional staff on board is essential to have a high level of safety. Familiarization and skill drill are important to implementing the safety on board together with passion for the sea.
