About me

For well over 20 years I have had the privilege of working on vessels of all types. I have worked on both sail and motor, private and charter, large and small, in many different locations. It is this varied experience, love of the industry and continued learning that allows me to be a cut above the rest. As a seasoned industry professional with excellent longevity and a proven track record, I am acutely aware of my responsibilities as a Captain. I am level headed, well mannered, hardworking, good-humoured, and of course lead my crew by the same example. My work ethos, love of water and sense of adventure were all fostered at Pangbourne Nautical College, a former training College for Officers entering the Merchant Navy. Many traditions were still maintained during my tenure, including naval Officers uniforms, daily parades, armed guard, marching band etc. Whilst there I gained valuable skills and attributes including discipline, presentation, respect and leadership; all values I still maintain to this day and bring to the workplace. My wife and I live in the UK on the southwest coast of the Isle of Wight with our two dogs where we run a popular holiday let.
