I am actively seeking an AVIT Officer role onboard a superyacht. I have spent the last year preparing for a crossover from the deck department to an AVIT focussed role. I have completed the Cisco CCNA Certification, CompTIA A+ (Computer technician), N+ (Network Technician) and IT Operations Specialist Certificates. I have also completed Superyacht Electronics Academy's AV at SEA course, which included the Crestron Superyacht Systems Technician Certificate and an introduction to Lutron, Kaleidescape, BSS Soundweb and Apple TV. Most recently, I have completed the Fundamentals for Marine VSAT Operators through the Global VSAT Forum and am currently working towards my VMWare Technical Associate Certificate. Prior to my studies, I had a temp position onboard a 58m vessel, where I acted in the capacity of Deckhand/ AVIT. I spent the majority of my time ensuring network system integrity during a challenging crossing. I also have two years experience working on a 116m vessel in the deck department. I have spent years in hospitality management roles developing strong communication skills, organisational systems and have a good understanding of professional boundaries when interacting with guests and owners alike. I look forward to a long term position, working with a dynamic and enthusiastic crew, where I can learn and contribute in a meaningful way to a professional operation.
