I have over 8 months’ experience onboard a 67m support yacht, alongside previous daywork on vessels ranging between 40-90m. My experience ranges from typical deck duties such as watch duties, anchor and line handling, tender and jet ski launching and operation, water toy maintenance, alongside other hands-on skills gained from yard period, including sanding, painting, rust management, crane operations, carpentry and non-skid deck renewal. Before yachting, I built experience as a plumber and carpenter, which have provided me with transferable skills for deck, including use of power tools and maintenance. My certifications include PDSD, Powerboat Level 2, PWC, VHF and Diesel Engine. I pride myself in the optimism and can-do attitude I bring to my work, which I always complete to the highest possible standard. I thrive in teamwork situations, whilst still having the ability to work well autonomously, both of which have been further proven as a deckhand. As an adaptable person, I strive to find ways to support and encourage those around me, both professionally and socially, and am often described as the 'social butterfly' of the group! Alongside the personality, I bring high levels of physical fitness, from a lifetime of hockey playing, and regular cardio and weight training. I am am eager and motivated individual, looking for my next deckhand position that will support my drive to grow my skills and progress in my career. My friendliness and proactiveness make me an asset to crew and I look forward to bringing my skills and personality onwards!
