Dear Sir/Madam, I am a newly qualified Deckhand/Engineer (qualified via UKSA) looking for an opportunity to start a new career at sea. My previous employment background over the past 15+ years is in the IT & Project Management sectors, I am now looking to transition into new challenges within the Maritime industry. Due to my lack of practical experience within this industry, I would be looking for appropriate positions where I can build up my experience and my career onboard motor yacht/s where I can apply what I have learned through my courses and pick up additional skills as I move through the ranks and my time at sea. My previous industry experience has allowed me to work with a plethora of people and customers ranging from front line customer service all the way up to board members and CEOs within some of the most prominent companies in the UK and abroad. I feel that my skillset is very much transferable to the Yachting industry and as such I feel I could add considerable experience and skills to any Yacht.
